CHRISTMAS TIME!!!

Hello everybody!!
Christmas is almost here and everybody is really looking forward to enjoy this lovely time with family and friends. In class we have been working Christmas vocabulary, rehearsing Christmas carols for the Winter Festival and enjoying with riddles, crosswords and wordsearches.

Ya casi está aquí la navidad y todo el mundo esta deseoso de disfrutar de este tiempo tan entrañable con la familia y amigos. En clase hemos estado trabajando vocabulario sobre navidad, ensayando villancicos en inglés para nuestro festival de invierno y hemos disfrutado con acertijos, crucigramas y sopas de letras. Os dejamos una foto para que lo veais.
Quiero aprovechar el momento para desearos unas felices navidades a todos, espero que lo paséis muy bien estas vacaciones y que empeceis el nuevo año con una gran sonrisa. ¡Nos vemos en enero!

Recycling!!

Last week the big kids have been working on recycling, we have discovered that in England the colours of the trash cans are different and we have learnt that plastic and metal are separated in two different trash cans. One is grey and the other one is yellow as in Spain. After that, we have drawn our own trash cans and we have separated rubbish cutting and pasting them in the correct place.

 

La semana pasada los mayores estuvimos trabajando sobre el reciclaje, hemos descubierto que en Inglaterra los colores de los contenedores son diferentes, y que el plástico y el metal están separados en diferentes contenedores. Uno es gris y el otro amarillo, como en España. Una vez aprendido esto, hemos dibujado nuestros propios contenedores y hemos separado basura recortando y pegandola en el lugar que correspondía.

Infants working!

Hello everyone,
today we want to show you some activities we usually do every Infant sessions, we start talking about the weather, the classmates in class, reading their names, etc...The last sessions we have been learning about feelings: happy, sad, scared and angry. We choose our feeling each day and we explain why we feel that way. It is a very interesting activity.
Afterthat, we put clothes on Kate or Jack, depending on the weather of the day. If it´s cold Kate and Jack will wear winter clothes, but if it´s sunny and hot Kate and Jack will wear lighter clothes.

Hola a todos,
hoy queremos enseñaros algunas actividades que solemos realizar con los peques de infantil. Empezamos hablando del tiempo, de los compañeros que han venido al cole, leemos sus nombres, etc... Las últimas sesiones hemos estado aprendiendo sobre sentimientos: contento, triste, enfadado y asustado. Elegimos un sentimiento y explicamos porque nos sentimos así ese día. Es una actividad muy interesante.
Después de eso, vestimos a Kate o Jack, dependiendo del tiempo que haga. Si hace frío Kate y Jack llevarán ropa de invierno. Si hace sol y calor, llevarán ropa más ligera.

Children´s Rights Day

Last Thursday we celebrated the International Day of Ghildren´s Rights. We have been working on the topic, and we did a book about them, different posters and a video that we shared together last 20th November.

El pasado jueves celebramos el día internacional de los derechos del niño. Estuvimos trabajando sobre el tema e hicimos un libro, posters y un vídeo que pusimos en común el pasado 20 de Noviembre.

Today is the DAY!!

HAPPY SCARY HALLOWEEN TO EVERYONE!!

Finally the day has arrived, and it´s being really exciting and fun! We have been working the whole morning in different workshops, one in echa class and all of them have been really interesting: cooking, English tales and song, game about the spirits, and th make up workshop!!

In the afternoon we will see what happen...

FELIZ HALLOWEEN TERRORÍFICO A TODOS!!

Finalmente el día ha llegado, y esta siendo realmente divertido! Nosotros hemos estado trabajando todo la mañana en diferentes talleres, uno en cada clase y han sido realmente interesantes: cocina, cuento y canción en inglés, un juego sobre las ánimas y el taller de maquillaje!!

Veremos que pasa esta tarde...

Everything ready!

Halloween is almost here, and in our school we have everything ready for this festivity. We have carved and decorated pumkins, we have scary monsters on the doors, and we have learnt lost of words and songs related to Halloween.
We are really looking forward to celebrate it the next 31st October!!!

Halloween ya esta aquí, y en el cole ya tenemos todo listo para esta celebración. Hemos vaciado y decorado calabazas, tenemos mosntruos horrorosos en las puertas y hemos aprendido un monton de vocabulario y canciones sobre Halloween.
¡¡Estamos ansiosos esperando que llegue el próximo 31 de octubre!!

A new friend!

Sometimes in class Maisy visits us and tell us funny stories: at the beach, at school, at Christmas time... Our school

The last week we have been working about places at school. We have labelled our school to know and review the names in English: the toilets, the ICT Room... and in Year 1-2-3 class we have made up our own school! Here is the photo that proves it!

La semana pasada estuvimos trabajando las estancias de la escuela. Hemos colocado carteles en inglés dentro de cole, para aprender y repasarlos en inglés: baños, sala TIC... y en la clase de 1º 2º 3º, ¡creamos nuestro propio colegio! Aquí esta la foto que lo prueba.

Posters everywhere!

The lessons have started again, and the last days the pupils of 4th, 5th and 6th grade have been working on posters. These poster will be a good tool for future sessions, because they have compiled useful sentences, words and verbs, that we will use during the year. Here you have an example:

Las clases han empezado de nuevo y estos últimos días los alumnos de 4º, 5º y 6º han estado trabajando en carteles. Éstos carteles serán una buena herramienta en futuras sesiones, porque han recopilado frases, palabras y verbos útiles que usaremos durante el año. Arriba teneis el ejemplo.

We are back!

We are finally back, last week we started again a new academic year full of enthusiasm and happiness.
The English sessions are full of reviews and new words these days, and this video shows an example, you can see our Infants teaching us the wether conditions we can find every day if we look out the window. We hope you like it !

Ya estamos de vuelta, la pasada semana empezamos de nuevo el año académico lleno de entusiasmo y felicidad. Las clases de inglés están llenas de repaso de lo aprendido y nuevas palabras que vamos conociendo, este vídeo dónde vemos a los infantiles enseñarnos vocabulario relacionado con el tiempo atmosférico, muestra un ejemplo de ello. ¡Esperamos que os guste!
