The term has already finished and now its time to relax and enjoy next to our families and friends.
We have said goodbye with our traditional celebration in the Pabellon and it has been a sucess with the musical Nightmare before Christmas. Our students have worked very hard to achieve the great performance they have done! So, well done for them.

our Infant students continue learning new sounds with the Jolly Phonics Method and in our last sesión we were distinguishing the initial sound of words and matching them with objects and animals that start with the sound learnt. They did a very good job and they pay a lot of attention on the activities we performed.

Grammar is a very important part of a language to get a fluent speaking and writing in a foreign language. Last week We learnt verbs useful to describe daily routines (listen, jump, play, read, write...), We have been playing a memory card game together and afterthat, We have use these verbs to build up sentences together.
La gramática es una parte muy importante de un idioma para conseguir hablar y escribir en una lengua extranjera. La semana pasada aprendimos verbos útiles para describir rutinas diarias (escuchar, saltar, jugar, leer, escribir...) y jugamos a un memory todos juntos, después de eso usamos los verbos para construir juntos oraciones.
This subject is not really an English one, but it's been and interesting activity carried out by our Educational Community, and I want to share it with you in this blog too.
We have realized a social experiment based in the video Always #likeagirl 2014, to be aware of when the expression "like a girl" has became an insult or at least something pejorative. We have asked to different people how do girls act in different situations, an their answers have been very interesting.

The last week we have been working the famous book Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What do you hear? the three classrooms, it's been a good topic to learn new animals like: walrus or boa constrictor, and to remember another ones we already know as lion or elephant.
We did a storytelling, some paper work, a handmade book for our school library and we talk a lot about the characteristics of the animals in the book with some questions to think.
This week as we usually do, we have worked with our tablets. There are interesting android apps to review and learn English, and we take advantage of them to continue learning and discovering English words. Here there are some photos of our students.

Finally Halloween Day arrived, and We really enjoy it. It was a fantastic celebration for all the Educational Community. In the first hours We were cooking little monsters made with apple bites, we were making up ourselves and we were having fun looking after skeleton bones around the school in a terrible Treasure Hunt!
In the afternoon, we danced Mickael Jackson´s Thriller, including mums! and afterthat We passed through our special and terrorific Haunted House full of surprises, spiderwebs and scary moments.
Here we leave you a summary of this awesome day. It´s a shame it happened so fast...

Por fín llegó el día de Halloween y realmente lo disfrutamos un montón. Fue un fantástico día de celebración para toda la comunidad educativa. En las primeras horas estuvimos cocinando pequeños monstruitos hechos con trozos de manzana, nos maquillamos unos a otros y lo pasamos en grande buscando alrededor de la escuela huesos de esqueleto en una divertida ¡búsqueda del tesoro!
Por la tarde, bailamos Thriller de Mickael Jackson, ¡con mamis incluidas!y pasamos a través de nuestra especial y terrorífica casa encantada, llena de sorpresas, telas de araña y momentos escalofriantes.

This new academic year We have continued using Jolly Phonics method (this time with our new and complete pack thanks to our AMPA) to learn and recognizeEnglish language sounds and to start reading in English.
We all know the difficulty of reading words that are written in one way and read in another way,
that´s why step by step singing songs, listening to stories and reading words we will try to learn in English as much as possible.

Éste año académico vamos a continuar con el método de Jolly Phonics (ésta vez con nuestro pack nuevo y completo, gracias al esfuerzo del AMPA) para aprender y reconocer sonidos de la lengua inglesa y empezar a leer en inglés.
Todos sabemos de la dificultad de leer palabras que se escriben de una manera, pero se pronuncian de otra, por eso paso a paso cantando canciones, escuchando historias, y leyendo palabras, intentaremos leer en inglés lo máximo posible.

Las clases continúan con normalidad y nuestros peques de infantil han aprendido de nuevo números y colores, han hablado sobre su verano y han comenzado la Asamblea en ingles, con sus normas y toda la información que utilizamos: tiempo, nombres, días de la semana, como estamos hoy etc.
