Phonics in infants

Hello again!
our Infant students continue learning new sounds with the Jolly Phonics Method and in our last sesión we were distinguishing the initial sound of words and matching them with objects and animals that start with the sound learnt. They did a very good job and they pay a lot of attention on the activities we performed.

Hola de nuevo,
nuestros estudiantes continúan aprendiendo nuevos sonidos con el método Jolly Phonics y en nuestra última sesión, estuvimos distinguiendo el sonido inicial de las palabras y uniéndolas con objetos y animales que empezaran por el sonido trabajado. Lo hicieron realmente bien,  y prestaron mucha atención en las actividades que llevamos a cabo.

Blending sounds

Blending is one of the essential skills for reading and needs to be taught from the beginning. It needs individual blending practice and that's part of what we do in our Tuesday sessions. In the following video you can watch our students reading aloud words of  phases 1 to 5, from our Jolly Phonics material.

Combinar sonidos es una destreza esencial para leer y necesita ser enseñada desde el principio. Necesita de practica individual y eso es parte de lo que hacemos en nuestras sesiones los martes. PHONICS! FONÉTICA

Hello everybody!

This new academic year We have continued using Jolly Phonics method (this time with our new and complete pack thanks to our AMPA) to learn and recognizeEnglish language sounds and to start reading in English. 

We all know the difficulty of reading words that are written in one way and read in another way, 

that´s why step by step singing songs, listening to stories and reading words we will try to learn in English as much as possible.

Éste año académico vamos a continuar con el método de Jolly Phonics (ésta vez con nuestro pack nuevo y completo, gracias al esfuerzo del AMPA) para aprender y reconocer sonidos de la lengua inglesa y empezar a leer en inglés.
Todos sabemos de la dificultad de leer palabras que se escriben de una manera, pero se pronuncian de otra, por eso paso a paso cantando canciones, escuchando historias, y leyendo palabras, intentaremos leer en inglés lo máximo posible.
Aquí hay un resumen de nuestras sesiones de fonética en el cole.
